About Our Medical-Surgical LPN Role

We are seeking a compassionate and patient-care driven Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) team at Novant Health's New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN, adhering to nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver patient education to facilitate optimal patient function, independence, and health.
  • Delegate patient care duties to non-licensed team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with the healthcare team.
  • Ensure timely and efficient patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid North Carolina practical nursing license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
