LPN/EMTI/Paramedic (Medical Office) - Full-Time

Wilmington Health is a multi-specialty medical practice committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled LPN/EMTI/Paramedic to join our team in a full-time capacity.
Job Summary
The LPN/EMTI/Paramedic will be responsible for administering nursing care and treating patients in the medical office, as directed by physicians, advanced clinical providers, or supervising department managers. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepares patients for and assists with examinations
• Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, and provides accurate information to patients using established protocols
• Collects patient data and maintains records of vital statistics and physiological/biological information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
• Applies standardized check-in components in daily workflow
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment and maintains stock of supplies and medications
• Orders supplies as needed for the department
• Conducts specified laboratory tests as needed
• Administers nebulized breathing treatments
• Acts as a receptionist, performs secretarial duties, and communicates with insurance companies and prescribes medications as needed
• Completes required school/sport/day care forms and communicates with managed care for prior authorizations
• Responds to patient phone calls and messages as appropriate
• Educates and instructs patients and their family members on medications, treatment plans, and other relevant information
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for their license/certification
Requirements
• Active NC or Compact LPN License
• Successfully completed and passed an accredited Practical Nursing Program
• BLS/CPR Certification
• Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in multiple departments or locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• One year of clinical experience
Physical Demands
This role requires standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling/crouching, with occasional lifting and rare kneeling/crouching. The LPN/EMTI/Paramedic must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
