The Radiopharmacy Technician is a key member of our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, assisting Radiopharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform Quality Control (QC) testing on various drug samples
- Maintain and clean facilities and equipment
- Receive and ship radiopharmaceutical packages
- Perform radiation safety functions
- Manage waste
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Impeccable communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills for data and document management
- Ability to adapt to a highly dynamic environment
- Team player with a patient-centric focus
- Radiopharmacy Technician experience (minimum 1 year)
- Pharmacy Compounding of sterile preparations (working knowledge of USP 797 & 823)
- PET/SPECT Radiopharmaceutical handling experience
