JOB SUMMARY:

The university seeks two Associate Directors of Donor Relations Strategy to undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cultivation and management of relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive and impactful donor experience.
  • Act as the primary liaison and subject-matter expert for designated colleges and units.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Strategic Engagement:
Serve as the primary contact for assigned colleges/units regarding donor relations and engagement activities, ensuring a meaningful donor experience; Foster relationships with unit leaders, faculty, and staff to understand strategic priorities and highlight philanthropic contributions; Establish regular communication with colleagues to identify opportunities for donor involvement; Ensure ongoing stewardship of significant donors not directly managed; Collaborate with the Central Donor Relations team to align engagement strategies with donor interests.



35% - Essential - Donor Relations Management:
Guarantee effective stewardship within the annual plan for managed donors; Collaborate with development officers to create meaningful engagement activities; Ensure timely management of donors throughout their giving cycles.



25% - Essential - Gift Stewardship and Reporting:
Coordinate with the Associate Director of Stewardship Data and the Clemson University Foundation to provide regular updates on philanthropic gifts and awarded scholarships; Communicate with relevant offices to ensure proper tracking and utilization of gifts according to their intended purpose.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience: 1+ years in non-profit, higher education, client relations, project management, or a related field.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated understanding of relevant concepts, practices, and procedures applicable in various situations.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises Student Workers only.



BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors departmental budget without providing input on allocations.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit for extended periods, walk or move about, and communicate effectively.



WORKING CONDITIONS:

No specific work conditions.



WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hours: 37.5 / Week



COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range: $46,000 - $55,000. Salary is influenced by various factors including experience and performance.



ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Normal Operations. Required to adhere to emergency directives.
