Rural Health Program Manager for South Carolina Communities

Job Summary:
The Rural Health Program Manager for South Carolina Communities is a key role within the Extension staff of Clemson University. This position plays a vital part in planning, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating Extension education programs for adult and youth clientele in the state's rural areas.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health science, nutrition, or a related field, with a focus on developing and delivering educational programs to promote rural health and wellness. This includes developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programming within the Rural Health Program Area to adult and youth audiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering educational programs to promote rural health and wellness
- Collaborating with other county and state staff to plan, implement, and evaluate Extension education programs
- Partnering with local and state elected officials, as well as Extension stakeholders, to develop and implement educational programs
- Monitoring and evaluating the impact of educational programs on targeted stakeholders
- Identifying and participating in opportunities for self-improvement and professional development
Additional responsibilities include:
- Supervising the work of others and providing recommendations for hiring, termination, and pay adjustments
- Monitoring the departmental budget and overseeing fund allocation
- Providing support for day-to-day functions of the county offices as needed
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, health professionals, and local government officials.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $37,900 and $45,000 per year, based on the typical salary range for a Rural Health Program Manager in South Carolina. The exact salary will depend on the candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills, and performance.
