Job Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients, working under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with data collection, formulation of plans for patient care, and participate in evaluation of outcomes of nursing actions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensure as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
  • One year of LPN experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, either from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work in confined/cramped spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted and exert up to 50 lbs. of force.
  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.
