Job Summary

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist at Craft Recruiting, you will be responsible for performing onsite material care, custody, and control functions in support of construction field activities. This role involves carrying out day-to-day activities of the warehouse department, which may include shipping and receiving products and materials, issuing tools, documentation, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

Select and prepare daily shipments, which may include pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers

Palletize and wrap skids and deliver completed orders and packages to designated shipping areas and/or deliver to disciplines

Assist in loading trucks as necessary and unload received items from trailers

Examine and inspect items for damage and defects; identify incorrect/short-shipped items

Pack, unpack, and mark stock items using identification labels and stickers

Perform onsite warehouse inventories, maintenance, and restocking, fill backorders, and product bins

May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts

Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time

May operate forklift and other equipment, such as stand-up lifts, sit-down lifts, propane, scissor lifts, etc.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or a related area. They must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for the position, including the ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. Additionally, they should be able to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently. The person in this position will constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so they should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. They will work in a construction environment and be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions. They may be required to work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required. They must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. They will move and work in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven surfaces. They must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment. They may be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the construction/industrial site. They must have required tools and observe and comply with all safety and project rules. They should be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical.
