We are seeking a highly qualified Digital Art Professor to join our team at Florida SouthWestern State College. The successful candidate will have expertise in interactive design and time-based media, and will be responsible for teaching digital art and media courses with an emphasis on both fine art and creative industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach digital art and media courses with an emphasis on both fine art and creative industries
  • Develop and implement curriculum for digital art and media courses
  • Advise students on their academic and career goals
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Terminal graduate degree in digital art, digital media, graphic design, creative technologies, or a closely related field
  • Expertise in one or more areas: emerging technologies, graphic arts, digital fabrication, VR/AR, experiential design, interactivity, web design, coding, and internet art
  • Strong background in traditional studio arts and/or industry experience
  • Ability to teach in two or more of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Game Design, Web Design, Graphic Arts, and Digital Art and Animation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional record of work in Fine Art, Experiential Design, or Interactive Computing
  • Demonstrated ability to teach digital art with a commitment to interdisciplinary arts teaching and education
