About the Opportunity

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Cultural Resources Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with project needs in the Great Basin and Southwest regions, primarily in Nevada, from our Las Vegas and Reno offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with a variety of project tasks, including heavy equipment and construction monitoring, archaeological inventory and pedestrian survey, data recovery, and technical report production.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure high-quality project work and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in cultural resource management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology is preferred.
  • Accredited Field School is preferred.
  • Experience with a range of field methodologies, including survey, testing, excavation, and heavy equipment or ground disturbing activity monitoring is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to project locations for several consecutive days.
  • Physical ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds and walk or hike for long hours during fieldwork.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
