Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop avionics equipment subsystems
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system performance
  • Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate avionics subsystems and components
  • Manage technical aspects of program strategic partners and suppliers
  • Develop and implement requirements for avionics systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. in STEM AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering
  • Active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years)
  • Demonstrated experience with aircraft cockpit avionics such as flight displays, flight computers, control systems, data storage, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with Control Account Management (CAM) and a fundamental understanding of project cost, schedule, and risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels
  • Experience with integration of COTS/MOTS electronics into airborne military systems
  • Experience with supplier team management, working on a multidisciplinary team, and/or writing and evaluating technical proposals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and customer representatives
  • Certified Control Account Manager (CCAM) certification

The salary range for this position is $75,300 - $112,900. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
