Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Black & Veatch Corporation. As a key member of our field engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients in the nuclear power industry.
Key Responsibilities- Function as a field mechanical engineer at the Columbia Generating Station, providing technical support and guidance to the plant's engineering team.
- Act as the primary liaison between Black & Veatch and the plant, communicating with the home office engineering team to identify and resolve engineering-related issues.
- Maintain project schedule targets and develop a stable working relationship with client personnel, including project management, design engineering, system engineering, and administration.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.
- Attend daily plant status meetings within your assigned department.
- Maintain access authorization standards and plant requirements for unescorted access to the plant.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of previous experience as a field engineer and/or engineering design experience on Nuclear Power Plants.
This role will consist of a 4-day work week at 10 hours a day. You should be able to meet the physical demands associated with working in a field engineer role, including standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and walking long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
