Job Overview

The Lead Financial Operations Manager - Casino Credit will oversee and manage all activities related to the casino cage and credit department at Gecko Hospitality. This role requires a strong understanding of internal control procedures, state gaming regulations, and exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cage and Credit Operations Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the casino cage and credit operations, including staffing, performance management, and training and development of employees.
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, and state gaming regulations.
  • Financial Transaction Processing: Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including bank deposits, cash transactions, and credit transactions.
  • Credit Extensions and Limit Monitoring: Monitor and review credit limits and authorize credit extensions based on established criteria.
  • Shift Reconciliation: Ensure that all cage and credit transactions are balanced at the end of each shift and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Guest and Vendor Relationships: Create and maintain positive relationships with guests and vendors, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other casino leaders to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization's overall objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the casino industry, including experience in casino cage and credit operations, is necessary.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Knowledge of state gaming regulations and internal control procedures is crucial.
  • Experience in managing budgets, financial statements, and financial reporting is necessary.
  • Familiarity with casino management software and point-of-sale systems is beneficial.

About this Role

The compensation package for this role will include an estimated salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. The position also includes flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as well as on-call duties as necessary.
