Job Description

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing payroll processes, communicating with department managers, processing payroll earnings and deductions, resolving system issues, onboarding employees, assigning time-off policies, importing payroll transactions, processing union remittances, responding to payroll inquiries, and maintaining personnel records.

Accounting Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also assist with maintaining records for Human Resources and compliance, assist with year-end audits, 403(b) audits, city, state and federal audits, provide ADP training, back up accounts payable processing, wire transfers, and accounts receivable processing, book monthly accruals, and perform other duties as required by the CFO.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of Payroll processing experience with ADP
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word)
  • Approachable, easygoing and collaborative
  • Problem-solving/analytical team player

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually, health and vision coverage, dental coverage optional, pension benefit plan after one year with agency contribution, life insurance, Optional 403(b) plan & parental leave, generous Paid time off (PTO), paid federal and additional holidays, and employee program discounts.

Location

This is a full-time position In-Person in our Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn office.
