Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Expert to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial data, and driving process improvements to enhance business partnerships and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational:
    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and monthly close.
    • Ensure the quality and accuracy of work performed by the accounting operations team.
    • Oversee the production of interim financial statements and analytically review balance sheet and income statement accounts.
    • Direct the annual financial audit and manage and propose updates to financial policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
    • Leverage system capabilities to streamline accounting processes and identify opportunities for growth.
    • Create detailed project plans and workflows to drive transformation.
    • Lead key initiatives focused on strengthening business partnerships, improving support for operational decision-making, and building capability within the team.
    • Continuously identify opportunities to develop and improve processes that strengthen accounting operations capabilities.
  • Leadership:
    • Supervise and develop staff while building a culture of planning & analysis.
    • Lead, motivate, and mentor the accounting operations team in a dynamic environment.
    • Cultivate an environment that encourages maximum productivity, professional development, open communication, and teamwork.
    • Define roles, responsibilities, and job descriptions that enable the creation of a high-performing team.
  • Other:
    • Collaborate with SVP, Finance on strategic planning and department goal setting.
    • Remain abreast of accounting & finance regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
    • Oversee and participate in special projects and work assignments as required.
