Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Design structural systems based on project specifications, codes, and requirements. Conduct thorough site inspections to assess existing structures and determine feasibility of proposed designs.
  • Software Proficiency: Use specialized software to analyze and evaluate structural design options and develop detailed plans. Conduct structural calculations and analysis using computer software and manual methods.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural elements. Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams during the implementation phase.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion within budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Five years' experience in structural steel.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Registration: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and standards. Proficiency in using relevant software, such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and ETABS.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
