Marine Quality Assurance Specialist

International Marine and Industrial Applicators (IMIA) is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our marine preservation and painting services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and document quality control/assurance requirements of all preservation and painting work performed onboard commercial and US Navy vessels.
- Collaborate with customer QA personnel to ensure that all quality control requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain Test and Inspection Plans (TIPs) for all assigned jobs.
- Ensure that all assigned equipment is maintained in good working order and calibrated within certification intervals.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- NACE Inspector and/or SSPC NBPI certification required.
- Formal or informal on-the-job training in the marine industry.
- Familiarity with Navy and Society for Protective Coatings standards.
This position requires regular standing for long periods, working on scaffolds and ladders, and exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and hazardous materials. Overtime or shift work may be required, and travel is often necessary.
