Job Overview

The Clinical Budget Coordinator is integral to our financial and contractual operations. This position is essential in managing and negotiating budgets for clinical research projects throughout their duration. The Coordinator collaborates with various departments within Alliance for Multispeciality Research, LLC, including Business Development, Project Management, Operations, and Site Management. Success in this role relies on prompt budget evaluations and effective process oversight.


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and negotiate clinical trial budgets, ensuring clarity on payment terms and conditions.
  • Disseminate budget-related information internally in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of budget and contract negotiations from initiation to project completion.
  • Assess proposed study protocols to determine budgetary requirements and identify potential risks.
  • Work closely with teams such as Operations, Business Development, Marketing, and Site Managers.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in budget and contract management.
  • Communicate with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Sponsors regarding budget adjustments stemming from protocol changes and site-specific requests.

Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Strong financial expertise and familiarity with the CRO sector, with substantial experience in budget management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation capabilities with a focus on conflict resolution and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, allowing for the identification of discrepancies in budgets.
  • Proven capacity to prioritize and complete tasks independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects effectively is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in managing clinical research budgets and contracts within a CRO, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related discipline.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Planner.
