Job Title: Culinary Specialist

WestCare is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for large groups, adhering to health codes and regulatory guidelines.
  • Supervise food preparation, storage, and supply operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and ensure compliance with dietary requirements.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and storage.
  • Perform quality control checks on food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve food service operations and quality.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in food preparation and service, preferably in a large group or institutional setting.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain CDCR clearance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain WestCare vehicle insurance.
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and Annual Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
