Job Summary:

As a key member of our sales team, the On-Site CSR will be responsible for ensuring customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met. This role requires developing and broadening relationships within customer organizations to fully understand their needs and wants. The primary contribution of this position is acting as the inside half of the sales team, ensuring transactions are error-free, and providing guidance and advice to less experienced Customer Service Representatives. This position works more than 50% of the time at the customer location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take customer orders via various channels, including telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in sales.
  • Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for Consignment customers.
  • Source products from branch inventory, Distribution Center inventory, or supplier inventory, ensuring the identification and sale of Motion Industries' assets.
  • Influence Motion Industries' Gross Profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within certain parameters.
  • Proactively generate sales by actively promoting Motion Industries' products to existing customers, expediting backorders.
  • Act as a mentor/lead to lower-level employees, serving as a subject matter expert on multiple products.
  • May act as a backup for the Operations Manager, pulling inventory, preparing orders for shipment, handling customer returns, and placing orders without approval up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per Purchase Order.
  • Adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit for Motion Industries, minimizing Branch freight cost by determining the most cost-effective method to fulfill customer orders.
  • Interact with suppliers to obtain pricing for items, partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction, and assist customers by troubleshooting via telephone or email and identifying correct parts.
  • Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and five (5) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Reliability, organization, and attention to detail required.
  • Customer service and communication skills required, with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Moderate computer skills, including information processing, communicating internally and externally via email, using business systems, and searching capabilities to find products on the internet.
  • Good driving record required.
