RN Medical Case Manager II

Job Summary:
CorVel Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager position in Houston, TX. As a Medical Case Manager, you will play a vital role in facilitating the recovery of injured workers and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical case management services to individuals through in-person and telephonic communications with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Evaluate patient treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assess patient progress and implement effective care strategies.
- Collaborate with patients, families, medical providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Travel locally to meet with patients and healthcare providers, with occasional overnight travel required.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
- Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other case management certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned locations.
