Job Description

Position Overview

The Event Cleaning Staff are tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of event spaces and surrounding areas before, during, and after various events, including entertainment and sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all restrooms and wash areas.
  • Dispose of waste in accordance with recycling guidelines.
  • Clean arena floors, seating areas, suites, and concourses by collecting trash, managing spills, and performing sweeping and mopping duties.
  • Inspect external spaces and parking lots for litter and remove as necessary.
  • Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and equipment in dining areas.
  • Exhibit professionalism when interacting with guests and event attendees.
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of tables, chairs, bleachers, and flooring for event transitions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic cleaning products and procedures.
  • Capability to follow instructions and adapt to changing circumstances.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • This role involves significant lifting and extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequent climbing and descending of stairs to access seating areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and solutions.
  • Repetitive motions associated with sweeping and mopping.
  • Ability to stoop, grasp, and navigate bleachers or stands for extended durations.
  • Maintain productivity standards in a dynamic facility.
  • Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to comprehend, retain, and apply verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate routine information effectively.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into clear communication.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

The work environment is typical of a stadium or event facility, which includes working around bleachers, floors, and steps that may be wet or slippery due to spills and other hazards.
