About the Role

American Welding & Gas is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Brainerd, MN location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of sales, including counter sales, warehousing, distribution, and production with profit and loss responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and promote a culture of safety, organizing safety meetings and enforcing safety rules.
  • Ensure customer deliveries are dispatched in a cost-effective manner that meets customer expectations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to phone, walk-in, and delivery inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage sales, margins, and expenses to improve operating income performance.
  • Monitor and improve store ranking metrics.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial statements to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other branches and personnel to resolve customer, sales, or operational issues.
  • Complete and submit sales-related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Participate in market research and sales analysis.
  • Manage branch personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate sales promotions and maintain store displays.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Pleasant, professional, and courteous personality.
