Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Analyst to join our team at Public Storage. As a Risk Management Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Sr. Director of Risk Management in all aspects of insurance claims process for corporate-wide property, workers' compensation, casualty, and automobile liability and other related insurance plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review all incoming incidents and gather, analyze, and present data in an accurate and meaningful manner.
  • Work closely with insurance adjusters, insurance brokers, the Safety and Legal teams, and other internal stakeholders to provide requested documentation.
  • Provide support to the Sr. Director, Risk Management in administering the Property, Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability insurance programs and claims handling process.
  • Review insurance and claims related billings for approvals.
  • Review, assess, and process incoming claims related correspondence for proper handling of claim files.
  • Assist with collecting information for insurance renewal applications and submissions.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations.
  • Provides support to store with incident reporting process and follow-up.
  • Collect, analyze and maintain data related to incidents/claims to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years' experience supporting corporate risk management insurance programs and/or claims experience preferred.
  • Prior claims experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of claims handling processes and procedures.
  • Ability to assess the terms and conditions of policies and agreements.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to organize and establish priorities.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
  • Ability to evaluate data for current trends and apply trends to loss prevention.
  • Ability to deal with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.
