Job Description: As a Crane Superintendent at Barnhart Crane & Rigging, you will be responsible for leading a team to execute heavy lifting and transportation work in the field and at the yard. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe and profitable operations that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leadership: Provide clear direction and guidance to your team to achieve project goals while adhering to company safety standards.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with engineering support to plan and optimize upcoming work, identifying equipment needs, developing load out lists, and coordinating trucking as necessary.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce company safety programs to evaluate job hazards and manage risks throughout job tasks.
  • Crew Management: Delegate tasks to field crews with clear man-hour expectations and safe performance criteria, ensuring all crew members are qualified for assigned work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment of idea generation and communicate significant ideas to management, driving improvements in schedule, safe performance, and equipment maintenance.
  • Customer Service: Treat all customers with dignity and respect, providing exceptional service that meets or exceeds their expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, engineers, and customers.
  • Strong Reasoning Ability: Capable of analyzing situations, identifying solutions, and implementing effective plans.
  • Crane and Rigging Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in crane and rigging operations.
  • Foreman Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a foreman in heavy lifting and transportation operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Performance Bonus: Eligible for annual performance bonuses based on individual and team performance.
