We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at Empire Cat, a world-renowned Caterpillar dealer with over 3,700 employees across Arizona, Nevada, and Eastern California.



As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, reconditioning, and servicing Caterpillar and other Empire allied machines, systems, and power train components.



About the Role


  1. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures using electronic tools, schematics, and other diagnostic methods.
  2. Maintain good client relations and support corporate marketing objectives by providing exceptional service and communication.
  3. Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  4. Prepare detailed service reports and cost estimates for clients and management.
  5. Plan and control repair job costs, adhering to company guidelines and quality standards.
  6. Maintain company equipment in good condition, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  7. Work safely at all times, following applicable safety policies and procedures.


Requirements and Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Current driver's license and completion of eTRAIN test evaluation required.
  • Basic computer and internet knowledge, as well as knowledge of operating scanning/diagnostic tools, essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Must have acceptable attendance and meet all company standards and requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
