Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in the analysis and interpretation of clinical laboratory data. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results that improve patient health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory analyses, including assays for cardiovascular, endocrine, hematological, hemostatic, thrombolytic, and renal systems.

Evaluate individual and related laboratory data to recognize patterns or trends that suggest significance of results.

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair clinical laboratory equipment, including routine preventative maintenance, calibrations, and safety checks.

Evaluate analytical reagents, calibrators, and QC standards to ensure the accuracy of analytical results.

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate analytical results with specific clinical trial protocols to evaluate credibility, appropriateness, and accuracy of test results.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as medical technology or a related life science.

Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
