Position Overview

Reporting to the nursing leadership at the assigned hospital site, this role entails the management of a significant function or multiple smaller services that deliver essential support to nursing operations. The position may also encompass responsibilities for multiple nursing units, ensuring comprehensive oversight and management.

This managerial role is characterized by its medium scope, overseeing less than 50 FTE direct or indirect reports across various nursing units, or managing a major operational support function. Responsibilities may include supervising Clinical Managers and other high-level professional staff.

The Patient Services Manager is accountable for patient care, with a focus on planning, implementing, and evaluating processes that enhance performance improvement, staffing efficiency, fiscal management, and customer service outcomes. Collaboration with senior leadership and staff is essential to achieve these objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effectively communicating these requirements to the team.
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members to align departmental activities with hospital objectives.
  • Identifying and developing departmental policies in conjunction with higher management.
  • Overseeing the creation and revision of departmental procedures and securing necessary approvals.
  • Monitoring and refining operational processes, with input into organizational design and workflow quality.
  • Participating in personnel decisions, including hiring and performance evaluations.
  • Assisting in budget development and monitoring for designated areas.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
