OPT FOR HEALTHY LIVING is seeking a highly qualified tenure-track faculty member in Biochemistry to join our team at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).
About the PositionWe are looking for a talented individual to teach biochemistry and related special topics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as introductory and general chemistry at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring students, conducting research, and contributing to the department's academic and research endeavors.
Responsibilities- Teach biochemistry and related special topics at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Teach introductory and general chemistry at the undergraduate level
- Mentor students in research and academic pursuits
- Conduct research in biochemistry and related fields
- Contribute to the department's academic and research endeavors
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Biochemistry or a closely related field
- Clear potential for excellence in teaching and research
- Evidence of, or clear potential for, mentoring diverse students
- High-caliber research experience in biochemistry or a related field
- Clear potential for effective engagement with a diverse student body
- Clear potential for providing high-quality, student-centered classroom instruction
- Postdoctoral research or industrial research experience
- Record of recent primary research publications in mainstream, peer-reviewed journals
