Position Overview:
The HVAC Sales Representative will play a crucial role in understanding customer requirements and crafting effective solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and addressing customer needs.
  • Creating tailored solutions.
  • Estimating project costs.
  • Promoting HVAC service agreements to commercial clients.
  • Achieving sales targets.
  • Building and nurturing customer relationships.
  • Establishing a pipeline of work to support both immediate and long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Specific duties include:

  • Proactively sourcing and reaching out to potential clients on a weekly basis, ensuring timely documentation and reporting of findings.
  • Regularly updating the proposal log to track progress.
  • Collaborating with team members to generate additional work for Services, enhance profit margins, and maintain profitability for both maintenance and proposed projects.
  • Completing customer satisfaction surveys to gauge service quality.
  • Assessing customer needs, estimating project costs, recommending upgrades, and presenting solutions based on our service offerings.
  • Monitoring and achieving sales plan objectives.
  • Maintaining an active proposal backlog to support the sales strategy.
  • Fostering long-term relationships to build brand loyalty.
  • Thoroughly understanding our service offerings to effectively communicate and persuade clients.
  • Assisting the team in developing and executing a successful sales strategy.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC, Mechanical, or related sales, with a focus on owner-direct projects and maintenance agreements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation, with the ability to generate leads, conduct cold calls, and follow up with potential clients.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to various responsibilities as needed.

Preferred:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field is preferred, or a minimum of five years of proven experience in HVAC, Mechanical, or related sales.

Travel Requirements:
Travel may account for 15% of the role, involving visits to job sites or office locations.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
Responsibilities may include:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer.
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Working in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
