Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mix Operator Technician 3 to join our team at Sanders Industries Holdings. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area as outlined in the Employee Handbook or directed by Production Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Achieve daily production goals as required by production supervisor and program manager.
  • Weigh ingredients as specified by the formula provided by the lab when necessary.
  • Mix compound formulations according to written mix instructions.
  • Maintain inventory and order ingredients as required.
  • Conduct Visual In-process inspection to verify correct weight on ingredients.
  • Maintain product specifications by observing mixing operations, detecting malfunctions.
  • Maintain proper formula traceability.
  • Follow all proper batch release procedures ref. FIFO.
  • Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficiencies exist on Opportunity for Improvements (OFI) forms.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and notifying maintenance for repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • 4-5+ years working as a mixer in a rubber manufacturing environment.
  • Read and write English, be able to follow and complete router instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Excellent close and distant vision.
  • Ability to stand 8 hours plus per workday.

Training Requirements

  • On the job training will be conducted on Procedures and Work Instructions from the area of responsibility.
