About the Role

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a highly skilled Senior Physical Security Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Physical Security Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing strategic advice and solutions to clients, analyzing data, developing insights, and recommending solutions to enhance physical security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and solutions to clients on physical security matters
  • Analyze data and develop insights to identify potential security risks and threats
  • Recommend solutions to enhance physical security and mitigate risks
  • Lead client engagements, from problem definition to solution implementation
  • Mentor junior consultants and support project teams
  • Conduct physical security threat and vulnerability assessments
  • Analyze client assets and assess impact of potential loss
  • Collaborate on security standards, specifications, and master plans
  • Support a wide range of security and risk management projects
Requirements
  • 7 years of physical security consulting experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive project deliverables
  • Ability to work in commercial and industrial settings and follow strict safety protocols
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to pass multiple detailed background checks and drug screening
  • Current driver's license and ability to travel
  • Proficiency with standard MS Office tools and related tools
  • Strong knowledge of physical security policies, procedures, and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in security, business, engineering or related field from an accredited program
  • Master's degree in security, business, engineering or related field from an accredited program
  • Security management experience in critical infrastructure such as utilities
  • Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) via ASIS International or obtained within 12 months of employment
  • ICA CPTED Certification
