About the Role

The Project Safety Director plays a crucial role in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, and is responsible for generating weekly Total Case Incident Reports on large projects and submitting them to project leadership and management.

About You

We are seeking a seasoned, OSHA 30-certified Safety professional with extensive construction safety experience, particularly in the electrical industry. You should have a strong understanding of electrical industry consensus standards, including NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence behaviors are essential, as well as a passion for working independently and as part of a team.

You will gain hands-on experience by serving as a co-facilitator of safety training and testing for all employees, and assisting the Project Leadership Team in the execution of weekly safety meetings. You will also support the development of project-specific plans to address safety issues and concerns.

General Work Environment

This role requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted in both indoor office and outdoor construction jobsite settings, with varying environmental conditions. Occasional work at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting of up to 40 pounds may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of the Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety (EHS) or similar field preferred. OSHA 30 Construction certification is required, with CPR/FA certification and other safety certifications desired. Three to five years of construction safety experience, with electrical safety experience preferred, is also required.
