Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Covlivinggeneva. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks in assigned areas, following established schedules and departmental standards.
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks, including light bulb replacement, toilet plunging, and battery changes.
  • Assist in emergency spill cleanups and perform project cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from collection points and transport to dumpster/trash pick-up areas.
  • Participate in campus linen program, including distributing, collecting, counting, and preparing for pick-up.
  • Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report any need for repair.
  • Observe and report any need for repairs to facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.

Requirements:

  • Some high school education.
  • Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
  • Dependability and common sense, with the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day's assignment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policy and procedures, with limited direct supervision.
