Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Nurse Medical Unit Leader to provide leadership and supervision to our nursing team on the night shift at Parkview Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, supervising and mentoring staff, and making decisions that impact patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing leadership and supervision to the night shift nursing team
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care
  • Determine staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, census, and patient acuity
  • Provide direct patient care as needed and float between staff to assist with problem-solving
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels
  • Ensure staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
