Role of the Family Services Advocate: In this vital position, you will assist individuals and families in accessing essential medical, social, educational, and other support services. Your responsibilities will include advocating for clients, linking them to community resources, and coordinating necessary services.

The Family Services Advocate will engage in a variety of educational and support activities, including role modeling, parenting guidance, problem-solving, and facilitating individual, group, and family sessions. This role is integral to the Family Intervention Treatment Team (FITT), an intensive in-home program designed for youth and families facing challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention and skill-building support within family homes and the community.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Be available for on-call crisis assistance and intervention as needed.
  • Work closely with the FITT Director to deliver specialized assistance to families.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to fostering a healthy work-life balance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute as a thought leader.
  • High school diploma or GED is required. Candidates should self-identify as biological parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, or relative caregivers with legal custody of a child or youth experiencing mental, emotional, behavioral, or substance use challenges.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance, along with reliable transportation.
