Field Based Provider Relations Advocate

This is a field-based opportunity with expected travel in Knoxville and surrounding areas. As a Field Based Provider Relations Advocate, you will be responsible for assisting in the full range of provider relations and service interactions within UnitedHealthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Training and ongoing education of providers on policies and procedures
- On-site assessments to ensure that providers are compliant with contractual terms
- Troubleshooting provider concerns internally with the expectation of timely resolution of issues
- Traveling to provider offices quarterly to build relationships, up to 75% travel within specific region in Tennessee
- Presentations to train providers on new requirements, or reiterate existing requirements
- Documenting outreach, as applicable
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of work experience (preferably in healthcare)
- 2+ years of experience in Provider Relations and/or Contracting
- Intermediate level skills with MS Office Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel in state (up to 75%) for provider visits
- Experience working in the healthcare industry, in a role where provider interaction was involved
- Experience and knowledge with Medicaid
- Experience and knowledge with Long-Term Services and Supports providers
Soft Skills:
- Solid analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to balance multiple high-priority projects and meet quick deadlines
