Core Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Oversight: Employ CORE and/or DOORS to effectively capture, manage, and monitor requirements throughout project lifecycles. Ensure that requirements are distinctly articulated, documented, and aligned with project goals.
  • Specification Creation: Develop and sustain comprehensive specification documents that accurately represent system requirements while adhering to industry standards and client expectations.
  • System Design and Evaluation: Participate in the design and evaluation of complex systems, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility with existing frameworks. Conduct trade studies and assessments to enhance system performance and dependability.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project leaders, developers, and clients, to gather and refine requirements. Facilitate discussions and workshops to ensure a thorough understanding of system needs and limitations.
  • Configuration Control: Manage configuration control processes to guarantee that all system components are properly documented and regulated. Oversee version control and maintain traceability of requirements.
  • Validation and Testing: Assist in the formulation of test plans and validate that systems fulfill all defined requirements. Aid in troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during testing phases.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate and maintain thorough documentation related to requirements, design, and system performance. Provide consistent updates and reports to project teams and management.
  • Process Enhancement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to refine requirements management and specification documentation practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Systems Engineering role, with a strong focus on requirements management and specification documentation.
  • Technical Proficiencies:
  • Expertise in CORE and/or DOORS management tools.
  • Strong grasp of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, configuration management, and system validation.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
