Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Hog & Tradition BBQ. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Guests: Welcome all guests with a smile and a friendly greeting, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
  • Take Orders: Assist and take guests' orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all requests are accurately recorded.
  • Employ Suggestive Selling Techniques: Utilize approved techniques to assist guests who are undecided, providing recommendations and enhancing the overall dining experience.
  • Operate a Cash Register: Process transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform Side Work Duties: Complete tasks as directed by management, including cleaning tables and counters, maintaining cleanliness of the facility, and controlling food flow from the kitchen.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate special instructions between the kitchen staff, servers, delivery staff, and management, ensuring seamless execution of orders.
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Stock and Clean: Stock food products, perform side work duties, clean tables and counters, and maintain cleanliness of your work station.
  • Verify Food Consistency: Ensure that food is prepared consistently and to the highest standards.
  • Organize Orders: Organize orders for table deployment, ensuring that all guests receive their food in a timely manner.
  • Make Drinks and Clear Tables: Prepare drinks, take orders, clear and clean tables, and ensure that your work area is clean and orderly.
Requirements
  • Preferred Experience: 3-6 months of cash operating experience.
  • Must be Able to Serve Alcohol: Possess a valid Alcohol Awareness Card prior to hire.
  • Food Handler's Card: Hold a current and valid Food Handler's card issued by the Southern Nevada Health District.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Customer Service Experience: Possess 1 year of recent customer service experience.
  • Physical Demands: Be comfortable standing for entire shifts, lifting 40 lbs. on a regular basis, and operating a cash register.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Be comfortable working both independently and with a team, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
