Job Title: Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team at Ennis Center. As a Therapist, you will provide therapeutic services to assigned caseloads, working with consumers and their families in the home and community. Your primary responsibilities will include providing individual, family, and group counseling activities, developing treatment goals, and building positive relationships as a constructive role model and mentor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic treatment and crisis intervention for assigned consumers and/or families in home, office, and community settings.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to the latent and manifest content of consumer responses, providing support and feedback regarding their therapeutic needs.
  • Define the needs or problems of assigned consumers and set goals.
  • Determine appropriate interventions strategies with individual consumers and implement them accordingly.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and alter intervention plans as needed.
  • Assess consumers for appropriateness of group treatment and facilitate treatment groups that focus on issues directly related to the group's purpose.
  • Attend conferences and meetings related to each assigned case, including court hearings, referring agency case conferences, and staffings.
  • Ensure accurate, professional, and timely completion of all required reports, logs, notes, and other paperwork.
  • Perform other Agency-related duties as assigned.

  • Promote a positive working environment within the Agency.
  • Maintain professional and respectful demeanor with Agency employees, consumers, visitors, and the public.
  • Actively participate in training, staff meetings, and Agency activities as required.
  • Participate in special projects or additional assignments as required.
  • Comply with the Agency's Employment Policies & Procedures and Standards of Conduct.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters related to Agency affairs.

Requirements:

This is a full-time position located in Flint. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling and therapy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A master's degree in a related field is required, and licensure or certification as a therapist is preferred.
