Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Environmental Project Engineer to contribute to our mission of enhancing environmental performance through advanced monitoring technologies. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the engineering, design, and setup of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) aimed at accurately measuring and reporting hazardous air pollutants in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work with various measurement technologies, including chemiluminescence, paramagnetic sensors, and tunable diode lasers. Furthermore, you will develop proficiency in Data Acquisition and Handling Systems (DAHS) components that utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) or data logging devices integrated with Windows-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical and instrumentation packages
- Apply mathematical techniques for pollutant data analysis and manage data storage in SQL databases
- Create design documentation, I/O lists, and CAD schematics
- Engage with suppliers and investigate emerging technologies
- Perform field commissioning activities as required
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications
- Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests and support Field Technicians
- Configure and program control systems, including PLC and HMI
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation engineering design
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and networking
- Familiarity with CAD design, Bills of Materials, and customer documentation
- Willingness to travel for field assignments as necessary
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- Experience in engineering project management and client interaction
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS, or HMI programming
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities for industrial systems
- A collaborative team player with a focus on teamwork
