You belong here Food Safety Quality Assurance SupervisorThe Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisoris responsible for implementing and managing the systems that ensure delivered product meets or exceeds customer expectations which include but not limited to: Testing and Inspection Programs of Ingredient and packing materials, WIP, finished product. Handling of Nonconformances of product and/or process including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans. Ensure Document Control and proper Record Retention is in place, up to date and followed properly. Assist in projects and programs that benefit and improve products, process. Assist in the timely reporting of quality key process indicators to plant and /or management. Assist in GFSI, internal, customer and regulatory audits Assist in the implementation, monitoring of HACCP, GMPs, GLPs, Allergen Control, Food Safety and Preventative Controls. Train as needed for Quality Assurance procedures, Food Safety programs with plant employees. Develop, write and/or implement procedures, work instructions and SOPs Assist in audits, internal, customer and regulatory as needed. Assist with verifying and challenging the Sanitation Department, i.e., visual inspection & environmental swabbing. Collaborate with managers and supervisors from other departments to enforce new procedures and standards.. Assist in implementation of food safety culture. Work with Sanitation Department, to write SSOPs, upload and ensure the electronic MSS information is current and be the QA Manager s designee as an overseer of the entire Sanitation Department. Other duties as assigned.Supervision of Reports: Ensure the Quality Assurance staff follow all company personnel and safety rules; provides leadership, mentoring and process direction to the Quality Technicians. Enforce all company rules, OSHA, safety rules, GMPs, and all food safety laws and regulations including FDA FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) standards, in a fair and consistent manner. Other duties as assigned. The FSQASupervisorwill be the FSQA/PCQI Manager, SQF Practitioner s designee.Job Requirements: Associates degree minimum or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years in a food plant environment; prior QA experience preferred. HACCP Certified and SQF Certified, preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient Microsoft Office skills. Must be able to work off shifts. Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, and lift to 50 lbs. Must be able to work for extended periods in a hot and/or cold, fast-paced food manufacturing environment.J&J Snack Foods is an EEO Employer
