Job Summary

This part-time position is available on the 2nd shift, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter patient demographics and test codes into the computer system
  • Ensure specimens and requisitions are correctly labeled and validated
  • Process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples
  • Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifuging, aliquoting, and labeling
  • Enter data into the laboratory information system and maintain accurate records
  • Distribute specimens to appropriate laboratory departments for testing
  • Perform quality control checks on specimens and equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma – Required
  • Bachelors Degree – preferred
  • 1-2 years Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of laboratory specimen processing and handling techniques
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of laboratory information systems
