Job Title: Property Maintenance and Improvement Manager

Job Summary:
At On Our Own, we are seeking a highly skilled Property Maintenance and Improvement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing activities of workers engaged in landscaping, grounds maintenance, and custodial activities to ensure properly functioning and aesthetic properties according to contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with supervisors to schedule crews based on work priorities, crew and equipment availability, and weather conditions.
  • Determine when and where vegetation should be added or eliminated using contract guidelines.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained.
  • Inventory supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure sufficient amounts are available and items are in usable condition.
  • Direct or perform mixing and application of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
  • Review contracts or work assignments to determine service, machine, and workforce requirements for jobs.
  • Order corrective work when problems occur and recommend procedural changes to avoid such problems.
  • Responsible for reading, studying, and referring to contracts for information.
  • Install and maintain landscaped areas, performing tasks such as removing snow, pouring cement curbs, and repairing sidewalks.
  • Recommend changes in working conditions or equipment use to increase crew efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience managing crew(s) preferably in landscaping, building maintenance, or related industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to speak English and Spanish (encouraged but not mandatory).
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to direct and instruct others.
  • Comfortable sending, receiving, and replying to emails and text messages with a smartphone.
  • Ability to make and maintain service schedules.
  • Shares in company values and can demonstrate those in the field.
