Industrial Maintenance Director

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Mister Car Wash. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for ensuring our car washes operate at peak performance and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit all stores in the market and partner with regional and store management teams to proactively identify and address maintenance needs with minimal impact to production
- Coordinate work assignments with your team to maximize quality and efficiency
- Coach, train, and mentor Technicians and Apprentices with an eye toward building a strong, well-rounded team
- Apply expert-level knowledge of electrical work and control wiring, hydraulics, welding and metal fabrication, plumbing, and other industrial fields while overseeing and participating in tunnel repairs and new equipment installs
- Plan and lead equipment upgrade projects and new location tunnel conversions (requiring up to 10 percent out-of-market travel)
- Set the standard for your team by prioritizing quality and efficiency, working well independently or with others, and demonstrating a sense of urgency and purpose
- Model safe work practices and ensure that your Technicians comply with all safety protocols
- Serve as a preventative maintenance resource for store managers and teach Managers-in-Training how to perform PM
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years advanced-level experience in breakdown industrial and production maintenance preferred
- Prior experience supervising and developing a maintenance team
- Extensive experience and expert proficiency in plumbing, electrical work (including 3-phase high voltage, AC/DC, and distribution panels), hydraulic systems, pneumatics, welding and metal fabrication, and commercial building maintenance and conveyor systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic approach to planning key projects, repairs, and general maintenance
- Positive, friendly attitude with the ability to adopt new procedures and teach and train others
- Flexibility to travel out-of-market (up to 10 percent of the time)
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb and work from ladders
