We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Unit team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in Neuro Trauma, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and spinal cord injuries.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
