Job Title: Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Registered Nurse in our Step Down Unit, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Job

This 13-week assignment offers a competitive pay package, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive clinical team. As a Registered Nurse in our Step Down Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members
  • Administer medications as ordered and document patient responses
  • Monitor and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Share on-call responsibilities and respond to patient needs in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including transporting patients and maintaining adequate stock of supplies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a Step Down or Intermediate Care Unit
  • A valid RN license in the state where you will be practicing
  • BLS certification and Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification preferred
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
