We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.

About the Job

As an Occupational Therapist with our institution, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with motor and neurological capabilities. You will work closely with attending physicians to establish patient therapy goals, implement programs designed to enhance motor, sensory, cognitive, and interpersonal skills, and document patient treatments and progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating patients' motor and neurological capabilities and documenting findings
  • DIRECTING, PLANNING, ORGANIZING, AND EXECUTING OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAMS FOR PATIENTS
  • EXERCISING PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT IN SELECTION OF TREATMENT MEDIA, CONSISTENT WITH ATTENDING PHYSICIANS PRESCRIPTIONS
  • IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ENHANCE MOTOR, SENSORY, COGNITIVE, AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS OF THE PATIENT IN ORDER TO PROMOTE PATIENT INDEPENDENCE AND PRODUCTIVITY
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and have one year of experience in a clinical setting. You should also be licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan and hold initial certification or eligibility for certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

We offer a competitive salary of $73,000 - $83,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, employee assistance programs, life insurance, and a discount program.
