Security Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Assistant Facility Security Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing sensitive elements of security protocols within the Department of Defense (DoD) or related security frameworks. This position is responsible for ensuring adherence to both governmental and organizational security regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate critical security operations and activities.
- Facilitate and conduct security briefings that are of a highly sensitive nature.
- Manage all educational initiatives related to security compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for upper management and external agencies regarding security matters.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in managing security requirements for sensitive programs, particularly within the DoD.
- Familiarity with DoD security systems or databases, including DISS.
- Understanding of Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD), and DoD security standards.
- Possession of a Top Secret clearance.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of motivation.
- Ability to adapt to various tasks and be available for diverse responsibilities as needed.
- Strong judgment, decision-making, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
- Completion of the DCSA or CDSE Facility Security Officer (FSO) Program Management for Possessing Facilities Course is preferred.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

The anticipated compensation range for this role is between $54,000.00 and $123,000.00 annually. This range represents the typical salary for this position and is one aspect of Booz Allen's overall compensation structure.
