Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, with the ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments.
Key Responsibilities- Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications, as well as start IVs as needed.
- Assist physicians by recording patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders, and transcribing orders.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families, as well as assist with various other functions.
- Bill patients for services provided, ensuring compliance with CMS and NJ State Board Regulations.
- Develop and implement plans of care for patients, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, adhering to facility and nursing standards.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other medical providers.
- Examine patients to determine the presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, and medical history to inform treatment decisions.
- Interview, instruct, and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, as well as instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Issue prescriptions to patients, in accordance with Federal and State Regulations.
- Order and review laboratory and diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and findings.
- Participate in the development of protocols and procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Perform and obtain completed medical histories and physical data on patients, with accurate documentation and findings.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice, as well as reviewing and auditing charts routinely.
- Suture wounds, incise and drain wounds, and repair lacerations as needed.
- Work collaboratively with physicians to diagnose conditions as necessary.
