This Laborer position is available at Hensel Phelps, a leading construction company with a strong commitment to safety and quality. As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting the skilled crafts working on the project, ensuring a smooth and efficient construction process.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in clean up and maintenance of the jobsite perimeter
- Support form carpenters and concrete operations
- Help with access into work areas and preparation of areas at jobsites
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools
- Distribute site materials to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications
- Responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly distributed, and the site is swept and well maintained
- Assist welders, carpenters, painters, or other tradespeople onsite
- Use power tools and machinery when needed
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
- Put up warning signs, cones, and etc for vehicles and passersby
- Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures
- Handling and transporting materials and/or personnel
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Follow safe work practices in accordance with the Hensel Phelps safety and health program
- Experience with a wide variety of construction machinery
- Must be able to take initiative and ask questions
- Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions
- Workers must provide their own safety footwear
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders
- Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading
- OSHA 10 Certification
- CPR & First Aid Certification
